Train yourself to be a positive thinker

You can be a force for positive change in the world. You can choose to do this right now. All it takes is the desire and then the focus. That’s it. It’s so simple.
And yet, why does it seem so difficult? Why does this concept seem like we are on the treadmill going so fast and we are trailing behind about to fall off.
First of all, we are living in a really fast paced world and it is so easy to become overwhelmed. Our email boxes are crammed with messages daily. The cell phone rings off the hook. We have obligations from every single angle adding complication after complication. It actually seems hard to focus on anything let alone something that seems to be cutting against the surface.
So, on your Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter or Facebook, a meme comes across your feed constantly. A beautiful picture with a short quotation telling you something wonderful about pliving or creating beauty in the world. A meme is a quick idea. You look at it. You may even find some joy out of it in the moment and then you move onto something else in your life…. Until the next internet meme.
Let’s face it, we are inundated with this rhetoric all the time and we barely have the time to take notice, let alone do something about it. And that’s the point, do something. Take notice. Moving forward is one of the greatest things we can do in our lives.
Use the information that is useful. When I was a kid, I had a sign hanging on my wall that said “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.” Well, I only waited till life handed me lemons to make lemonade, but the truth of the matter is … Go out and find some lemons, … Be creative with them. Make a lemon cake instead.
Be positive. Engage yourself. And keep doing it because you have been trained to accept the what’s wrong with our lives, rather than concentrating on the right. We just love to play the victim. But that’s another story for another day. Until then, Be the most invincible version of you that you can imagine.

Win Tomorrow Today!

At Jo’s coffee shop in Austin… with Ginnie…20170218_215705338_ios I celebrate the fact that I submitted an application for coaching to JB Glossinger, the Morning Coach. I listen to his phenomenal podcast almost every single day.  The truth is though, that I feel that his brand of coaching is so beyond my means, but I also felt that I could no longer not ask for it.  I pat myself on the shoulder for making the move.  Imperfect action.  We’ll see… in the past, I would feel that if something was beyond my means, it wasn’t even worth asking for.  I’d be too disappointed if the answer is a staunch “NO”… but truth is I’ve gotten “NO” for an answer “many, many times” (You’d have to ask me about that particular phrase and I’d have a really great story on that) and I’ve definitely lived through the tragedy, pain and turmoil of it all.  It’s all good.

Reprogram Your Mind to Be Great

It20170201_023941000_ios is known that we human beings only utilize a small percentage of our brain capacity.

That said, what is our brain, or rather our mind saying to us? On a frequent basis. Only you know the answer to that. You need to listen in to what your mind is telling you about your life.

How can we utilize the power of our brains to think on our feet better, to do things we only thought we could not do, to believe in our power to go beyond and achieve things that we previously thought we weren’t able to.

I can’t. Other people can, but not me. Perfect example of a limiting belief. The only reason we know others can is because they did. But we can and we could and we will and then and only then we did.

That’s the invincible part of our being that needs to be programmed with the right energy and thoughts. We can reprogram our brains to believe we can. That’s in our very core. And it is only a fragment of tiny piece of what we can do if we put our minds to it. Infinitesimal, in fact. Not even .0001% of that ten percent of brain power, we do have the knowledge and the power to use. Everyone of us has this ability. It’s built into our humanity. So they can, you can, we can and I can!

It does take training. It does take desire and passion. It absolutely takes determination. It can be done. And with an invincible mindset, it will be done.

What is the difference between a resolution and a commitment?

20170107_043616000_iosA resolution is a firm decision to do or not to do something or the action of solving a problem.  A commitment is the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause or activity.

When you resolve to do something, it is laying down the groundwork for the future.  It’s like saying, I’m going to do it this time.  The reason that a resolution is often put into the background and not accomplished is that one really hasn’t committed to their decision to solve the problem.

So, are you going to commit to something or resolutely plan to do it?  Are you going to be forever in the mode of planning to solve the problem or are you going to actually solve it?  It’s up to you.  It always has been.

Becoming Wealthy

There is nothing more powerful than thoughts, words and beliefs.  These are the ideas that are the cornerstone of who we are and who we become.

We understand who we are based on what we think we are and then we go about our business of creating this in our reality.

So, if I were to say, “I can be wealthy, and so can you,” wouldn’t that be a great place to start?  And the answer would be, not exactly.  It is great to believe in thought that each of us can be prosperous financially.   In fact, each of us most probably already believes that we can be wealthy.  And the reason for that?  It’s quite simple.  Hope.

We hope we will be wealthy.  But can we set our financial futures on hope?  Or rather, should we?

No.  Hope is not enough.  A better place to start your belief system is much clearer.  “I will be wealthy.  I will be prosperous.”  Will eliminates hope.  Once you get this and it becomes your clarity, then you can begin your journey.

Daily Prompt: Silence

image.jpegvia Daily Prompt: Silence

It’s that introspective moment.  Think, don’t act.

You can accomplish so much with so little.  Silence.

Leave the stress elsewhere.  Silence.

The truly funny thing is that, there does not need to be complete quiet.  The outside world will continue it’s buzzing about.  Airplanes will still clamor above you.  Trains will still grind upon the tracks.  Automobiles will still be honking. Other people will still be living their lives around you, watching their televisions, listening to their music, laughing with each other or for that matter, fighting.

Find your personal balance.  Relate to the world from within and you will find your own personal silence.  It’s there for the taking.  And you can grab it and run with it.  There is so much to learn and achieve when you find it.

And then, share it.  Share it with the world.  Share it freely.  Share it wisely.

Silence. Take the time for yourself and do it.
